The lighting in the living lobby is marine lamps, which are also used for lighting on ships, and by displaying items reminiscent of the sea, such as oars, on the walls, you can feel as if you are on a voyage.
A deformed map of Hakodate is displayed right at the entrance. Combined with the tram running outside the window, travelers are sure to feel as if they have landed in a faraway foreign land.
