Stand Umineko Koto is operated by Cyclo Co., Ltd., which also operates a craft beer brewery in Nishinari Ward, Osaka Prefecture. This store is directly managed by their own brewery, Derailleur Brew Works, and offers original beers made with great care, as well as rare beers collected from microbreweries all over the country.

We offer a wide range of beers so that everyone can enjoy them, from those who are new to beer to beer connoisseurs. Many customers have made their craft beer debut at Stand Uminekokoto and have developed it into a hobby.

The interior of the store, a renovated townhouse, has no partitions, and they value an open and casual atmosphere. "Unlike the traditional image of a high-class taproom, we have an atmosphere where anyone can drop in casually. The entrance is always open. In the early hours, we even have families with babies," says manager Aoki Asae.

Stand Uminekokoto also functions as a station for running events. Around 20 people participate in the event every week, and before and after, runners toast to the runners, livening up the atmosphere in the store. "It's a special experience to drink beer while talking about how today's run went," says Aoki with a smile.

"When our staff arrive at work, they first taste all of the approximately 20 types of beer available that day so that they can recommend beer in their own words. We are committed to being a bar where people can enjoy drinking," says Aoki.
