We are pleased to announce that a malicious third party has accessed the centralized reservation information management system (hereinafter, the "Management System") used by HOTEL RESOL KYOTO KAWARAMACHI SANJO (hereinafter, the "Hotel"). As a result, we have confirmed that some of the personal information of customers who made reservations at the Hotel between June 11, 2024 and August 28, 2025 using some overseas online travel agents as of June 11, 2024 may have been accessed by a third party.
We are currently investigating the details, and we deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern caused to our customers.
1. Background and Overview
On August 30, 2024 (Japan time), the company that operates the management system contacted us to inform us that a third party was suspected of illegally manipulating the management system related to the use of our hotel.
In response to this, our hotel immediately changed the login password for our management system.
However, due to unauthorized access to the management system, it is possible that some of the personal information of customers registered in the management system, as listed in 2 below, may have been viewed by a third party.
2. Personal information of customers that may have been accessed
Of the customer information listed below that is viewable through the management system, it is possible that some of the customer information has been illegally viewed by a third party, as detailed below.

·nationality
·telephone number
・Date of stay
・Number of guests
・Email address for contacting customers
*The "email address for contacting customers" is an email address that is temporarily replaced in the management system for contacting customers from the perspective of security. There is no possibility that the email address that you normally use has been viewed.
*Since customer credit card information, addresses, etc. are not registered in the management system, there is no possibility that customer information other than that listed above was viewed.
3. Future Actions
We will work with the company that operates the management system to strengthen the management system to prevent unauthorized access, such as restricting access IP addresses.
