Living lobby

Living lobby

Designed with the theme of a "bridge" connecting two worlds

Based on the concept of "Celebrating Shadows," the Living Lobby welcomes travelers with a soft light reminiscent of twilight. Please take your time and relax while enjoying the lingering darkness.

Three stately objects are installed here. Although they share the same space, the work suggests that different aspects can be seen by changing the perspective and cutting the piece.
This object is a bridge between timeless concepts, where dualities such as roughness and smoothness, light and shadow coexist and the material wood, which gains character with age.

The furniture includes the Conoid Chair by George Nakashima, who has served as a bridge between Japan and the United States through his wooden furniture design and production, as well as tables and sofas designed by Keita Shimizu that incorporate traditional Japanese techniques.
