ホテルリソル池袋から徒歩6分の場所にある「シーリングスタンプCraft Shop WOODPEPE」。2021年に開店した当初は、木製の雑貨を販売していました。

「コロナ禍だったこともあり、家でぬくもりのある雑貨を使って癒されたいというお客さんも多く見られました。」と語るのは、店長の土居摩利子（どい まりこ）さん。

取り扱いの商品の中でもシーリングスタンプの人気が高かったため、2024年に体験型の専門店として生まれ変わりました。ちなみに店舗名の「WOODPEPE」はキツツキ（Woodpecker）をかわいらしい響きに変えた造語で、木製雑貨店であった頃のなごりが感じられます。

"Many of our customers come to us because they love stationery, but we also see a lot of people who are fans of anime and pop culture using our products to express their love for their favorite things, which sometimes gives us a sense of Ikebukuro's unique character."

A key feature of sealing wax is that it uses natural materials such as beeswax and soybean oil as its raw materials. The odor produced when the wax is heated is barely noticeable, so you can enjoy crafting with peace of mind even in households with pets or small children.

The appeal lies in being able to freely combine approximately 200 types of wax and heads to create your own unique design. A nice feature of the experience is that you can add a drink bar. The shop's intention is for customers to stop by while shopping or sightseeing, just like they would take a break at a cafe.
