HOTEL RESOL KYOTO SHIJO MUROMACHI holds special events for guests on different days each month.

"Kyoto Maiko Dance & Photo Session" *Excluding 1/1
The "Maiko Kyoto Dance & Photo Session," an event where you can meet Maiko, has been held since December last year and has been very well received, and you can now participate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.

Kyoto currently has five geisha districts known as the Gokagai. One of these, Miyagawacho, is located in Higashiyama Ward and is a historic geisha district that has developed as a teahouse district with deep ties to performing arts such as Kabuki. For this event, we will invite a maiko from Minatoya, said to be the oldest teahouse in Miyagawacho, to perform a dance. After the performance, there will also be a photo session where you can take photos with the maiko.

Many teahouses in Kyoto's geisha district do not accept first-time visitors, so you can enjoy a rare opportunity to interact with maiko. Enjoy a tasteful moment unique to Kyoto in the ancient capital in autumn.

A calligraphy experience to calm your mind. Using a brush and steps, you can casually experience traditional Japanese calligraphy. You can also have your name written in kanji and take it home with you.

"Zodiac Painting Experience"
Color the animal of the Chinese zodiac and make your own lucky charm! This year's Chinese zodiac animal is the horse.

February-only event (Wednesday)
"Daruma Doll Painting Experience"
You can paint a white Daruma doll and create your own "Daruma that brings happiness."

"Mizuhiki Knotting Experience"
Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative paper used for celebrations and gifts. You will learn how to tie it beautifully and create your own original brooch using colorful mizuhiki.

February-only event (Friday)
"Zazen Experience with the Head Priest"
This is a Zen meditation experience led by the head priest. First, the meaning of Zen meditation and breathing techniques will be explained, and you will spend some time quietly settling your mind. At the end, there will be a special time for you to talk with the head priest.
