Year-round events (Mondays and Thursdays)
"Kyoto Dance and Photo Session with a Maiko (Geisha Apprentice)"
Kyoto currently has five geisha districts known as the Gokagai (five geisha districts). One of them, Miyagawacho, located in Higashiyama Ward, is a historic geisha district that has developed as a teahouse district with deep ties to performing arts such as Kabuki. For this event, we will invite a maiko (apprentice geisha) from Minatoya, said to be the oldest teahouse in Miyagawacho, to perform a dance. After the performance, there will be a photo session where you can take pictures with her.

Many teahouses in Kyoto's geisha districts do not accept first-time customers, so this is a rare opportunity to interact with a maiko (apprentice geisha). Enjoy a charming moment in the ancient capital of Kyoto this spring.

"Daruma Painting Experience"
This is an experience where you can create your own original work by drawing pictures and patterns on a Daruma doll. You can also incorporate your wishes and goals into it.
While you're there, why not experience Japan's culture of lucky charms? You can take your finished artwork home as a memento of your trip.

"A Casual Tea Ceremony Experience"
This is a tea ceremony experience where you can enjoy tea while casually learning about tea ceremony etiquette and matcha from an instructor.
Enjoy a moment to experience Japanese tea culture with matcha green tea.

November Events (Wednesdays)
"Zen Calligraphy Experience for Calming the Mind"
Experience the traditional Japanese art of calligraphy using a brush and ink. Learn about Zen concepts such as "Ichigo Ichie" (one lifetime encounter) and "Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku" (harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility).
We will discuss the meaning of "ba" and you will write your favorite Zen phrase. You can take your work home with you.

December Events (Wednesdays) *Excluding December 30th
"Discover Kyoto Through Culture"
This is an experience that allows you to connect with the culture and craftsmanship that thrive in Kyoto. It's an opportunity to become familiar with the traditions and handcrafted work that have been passed down through generations.
Enjoy creating your own unique piece while looking at the examples. The finished work can be a memento of your trip.
