At HOTEL RESOL KYOTO SHIJO MUROMACHI, we hold special events for our guests on different days each month.

"Kyoto Maiko Dance & Photo Session" *Except 12/29
The event where you can meet maiko, "Maiko Kyoto Dance & Photo Session," which has been held since December last year, has been very well received and you are now given the chance to participate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Currently, there are five geisha districts in Kyoto, known as the Gokagai. Miyagawacho is a historic geisha district located in Higashiyama Ward that has developed as a teahouse district with deep ties to performing arts such as Kabuki. For this event, we will invite a maiko from Minatoya, the oldest teahouse in Miyagawacho, to perform a dance. After the performance, we will also have a photo session where you can take photos with the maiko.

Many teahouses in Kyoto's geisha district do not accept first-time visitors, so you can enjoy a rare opportunity to interact with maiko. Enjoy a tasteful moment unique to Kyoto in the ancient capital in autumn.

A lion shamisen performance that combines strength and elegance!
After the performance, you will have the chance to win a shamisen CD by playing a game. Please also enjoy taking a commemorative photo with the lion.

Limited event from October to December *Excluding November 28th and December 5th "Tea Ceremony Experience"
This is an event where you can casually experience Japanese tea culture.
After watching the tea ceremony teacher perform the tea ceremony, you can also try making tea yourself.

October-only event "Furoshiki Experience"
You can experience wrapping boxes and bottles in furoshiki. Participants will receive a mini furoshiki as a souvenir.

November limited event: "Uchikake exhibition and try-on photo shoot"
You can enjoy wearing a gorgeous uchikake kimono and taking photos. There is no need to change clothes.

December-only event *Excluding 12/31 "Live Ikenobo Flower Arrangement Demonstration"
You will witness the ritualistic flower arrangement of Ikenobo, the oldest school of flower arranging. Experience the beauty and spirit of Japan.
