Living lobby

Living lobby

[Shizumori Room]

The living lobby on the basement floor is named "Shizumori," a combination of the words "quietness" and "warmth."
The spatial motif is based on the venue of a grand tea ceremony, and you can sit in any direction you like and relax.
Although it is an open space, it is also a space where you can find the way you feel most comfortable.

Learning about Japanese "relaxation" from the history of Kyoto

Muromachi Street has a long history, spanning from the Heian period to the Muromachi period and the Edo period, and is now lined with long-established kimono shops that have been in business for hundreds of years. As a homage to the Japanese clothing culture, the interior and furniture reflect a sense of spaciousness using the traditional measurement of "whale scale." This creates a uniquely Japanese "relaxation."

Light and shadow mix together

Because the living lobby is located underground, each and every light has a special presence. The shadows created by such lights bring a sense of depth and volume to the space, creating a somewhat melancholic and relaxing atmosphere.
Enjoy a cup of tea, take in the view and relax in your most comfortable setting.
