HOTEL RESOL TRINITY KYOTO, HOTEL RESOL KYOTO KAWARAMACHI SANJO, and HOTEL RESOL KYOTO SHIJO MUROMACHI will be holding a special event for guests staying at their accommodation from Monday, December 2, 2024 to Monday, March 31, 2025, called "Kyoto Maiko Dance & Photo Session."

This event was first held at HOTEL RESOL TRINITY KYOTO in September this year. It has been very well received by guests from both Japan and abroad, so it will now be expanded to three hotels in Kyoto City and held on different days of the week.

Currently, there are five geisha districts in Kyoto, known as the Gokagai. Miyagawacho is a historic geisha district located in Higashiyama Ward that has developed as a teahouse district with deep ties to performing arts such as Kabuki. For this event, we will invite a maiko from Minatoya, the oldest teahouse in Miyagawacho, to perform a dance. After the performance, we will also have a photo session where you can take photos with the maiko.

Many tea houses in Kyoto's entertainment district do not accept first-time customers, so you can enjoy a rare opportunity to interact with maiko. Enjoy a tasteful moment unique to Kyoto in the ancient capital of autumn.
