Send your wishes to the heavens - Tanzaku (strips of paper) collected from RESOL HOTEL across the country were donated to Osaki Hachimangu Shrine in Sendai

This summer, RESOL HOTELS will be holding a decoration event themed on the traditional Japanese culture of Tanabata at 20 hotels nationwide. From Friday, June 20th to Monday, July 7th, the lobbies and entrances of each hotel will be decorated with bamboo decorations, and guests will be asked to write their wishes on strips of bamboo paper.

The tanzaku collected during the above period were donated to Osaki Hachiman Shrine in Sendai, known for its Tanabata Festival, on August 8th.

Osaki Hachiman Shrine is a national treasure located in Aoba Ward, Sendai City, and was founded by Date Masamune in 1607. The shrine building, which is an example of the finest Momoyama architecture, is widely revered as the main guardian deity of Sendai.

The Tanabata Festival held at Osaki Hachiman Shrine is a time-honored Shinto ritual that has been continued since the days of the Sendai domain. Every year on August 8th, a prayer ceremony is held for Tanabata tanzaku paper strips collected from all over the country.

The tanzaku written by the guests at RESOL HOTELS were also donated to Osaki Hachimangu Shrine. After the prayer, guests received a sacred talisman addressed to RESOL HOTELS.

At RESOL HOTELS, we will continue to provide you with memorable experiences during your travels.
